100th Anniversary Tree Planting

More than 60 adults and children braved the 30-degree weather on December 7 to help JFVS plant trees in Cherokee Park in collaboration with the Olmsted Park Conservancy. The grove of 100 trees symbolically commemorates the 100th anniversary of JFVS. Roanne Victor chaired the organizing committee made up of Jessica Loving, Matt Willinger, Sandi Friedson, Cheryl Karp, Jane Shapiro, Rhonda Reskin and Jan Glaubinger. Our thanks to the Family Mitzvah Committee, who brought hot drinks, and to the cookie bakers – Jan Glaubinger, Janet Meyer, Jane Shapiro, Leni Sweet, Nancy Robenson, Linda Fuchs, Sandi Friedson, Ellen Prizant, Aly Goldberg, Deanne Cook, Barbara Pass and Stephi Wolff.
